  We no longer tread mountain tracks bar the odd vacation, or run after our food… except when the dog takes off with it, so we need to offset this by different forms of exercise.

    Strength (resistance) training is one of the best you can do and here is why…

It has been said that “strength training in the elderly (>60 years) increases muscle strength by increasing muscle mass, and by improving the recruitment of motor units, and increasing their firing rate.

  • Strength (resistance) training/Weight training increases strength and balance capacity.

  • It helps to fight osteoporosis and can counteract age related impairments.

  • It helps protect your joints from injury. It is great for maintaining flexibility and balance, which can help you remain independent as you age.

  • It also helps with weight management and increases your muscle-to-fat ratio.

        In English this means - Come pump some weights with us, have a laugh and meet some new people. Build up a sweat then jump in the pool for a cool off. You can use the free weights, weight gloves, resistance bands or your own body weight.

   Mat fit is a combination of yoga, pilates, strength & stretch designed to wake up deeper muscle levels, activate the core or powerhouse, & elongate the muscles.

   It is a safe and effective method of rehabilitation that incorporates balance, deep breathing & controlled muscle flow.

   It is constructed to calm and rejuvenate the body, improve posture, & promote overall health and longevity.

Yes, age or weight are not an obstacle as our instructors can modify the workouts to suit your ability so you can still finish strong.


With trainer & group support, team-based accountability & competition, bootcamp is a fun & effective way to improve strength, fitness, flexibility, & nutritional awareness.
